In 2008 Pamoja Media, Inc. began with a single idea-to empower digital publishers operating in the African and the Diaspora online space. In response to this call Joshua Wanyama and Benin Brown formed Pamoja Media, Inc. initially as an ad network. However, to meet the growing needs of a rapidly evolving clientele Pamoja Media has evolved into a full fledged digital think tank agency with offices both in the US and in Kenya. Today, Pamoja Media provides one-stop shopping for organizations interested in engaging both the African and the Diaspora market online.
Among the agency’s accomplishments are the founding of Africa’s first online ad network and sending its CEO, Mr. Joshua Wanyama to TED 2009 as a TED Fellow. Additionally, the company brings to bear over 10 years of online advertising experience from its team.

Joshua Wanyama, CEO
Joshua Wanyama was born in Nairobi, Kenya. He received a B.S. in Architecture at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities in 2003. Immediately upon completion of his college degree, he started Spectrum Interactive Media, LLC. A web design and development company in Minneapolis, MN.
In 2008 Joshua co-founded Pamoja Media with Benin Brown and in 2009 Mr. Wanyama was selected as a 2009 TED Fellow. Joshua has since returned to Nairobi, Kenya to assist in the building of the company’s East Africa Operations.
Benin Brown, President & COO
Benin Brown was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He received a B.A. in Economics from Morehouse College in 1999. And prior to graduation he studied abroad at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana with his father Dr. C. S. Brown on a Fulbright Scholarship. Upon graduating he immediately started his first company in the financial services sector. In 2006 Benin began blogging about economic development opportunities in Africa and in 2007 he became a partner in African Path Communications and the Editor of African Path’s business publication called the Cheetah Index.
In 2008 he and Joshua Wanyama co-founded Pamoja Media, Inc. an interactive ad agency that helps marketers to engage the African and Diaspora audience. Benin is presently pursuing his Master’s of Science in Internet Marketing through Full Sail University and he resides in Kennesaw, Georgia with his family.
